Born and raised in Central Kentucky, it may be no surprise that my earliest interests in medicine were that of the equine nature, when I would ride farm-to-farm with my dad on his veterinary rounds. But history was my academic love and I chose to major in East Asian History at Davidson College. My interest in medicine piqued again when I studied abroad in China, participating in a program focused on Traditional Chinese Medicine. After Davidson, I attended the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where I met Ryan and our collective journey began.

I knew I wanted a specialty that would allow me to create long-lasting relationships with my patients. I also wanted to consider the whole patient, not just one organ system or area of the body. Internal Medicine provided the perfect residency for me, which I did at Tulane University.

In my leisure time, I enjoy being outside. I love spending time with my husband and our three kids. Flowers, plants, crafting, food, art, movement, reading and relationships bring me joy.

Downtown Drs. Brown allows me to practice at my best by creating strong relationships and focusing on the root of health issues. My goal is to help patients with their health and wellness so they may pursue whatever it is they most enjoy.
