Walk with the Docs – June 21 at 12 pm

We hope you can join our team for a lunchtime walk this June, May 21, at 12 pm. Just like always, we’ll start from our office (535 West Second Street) and do a casual 2-2.5 mile loop around downtown. Our walk generally takes about 45 minutes. We’ve had a great time doing these so far. Come in workout clothes, come in business clothes, come as you are for some fresh air and good conversation.

It used to treat everything from back pain to anxiety. Traditional Chinese Medicine is founded upon on the principles of nature. With our busy, technology-filled lives, this perspective can guide us back into harmony with how medicine originally started. Join licensed acupuncturist Tara Bissell on May 14 at 12 pm as she gives us an overview of this unique medical system. Are you interested in improving your posture, strength, and balance to move more effortlessly each day? Joseph Pilates promised these benefits in addition to “restoring physical vitality, invigorating the mind and elevating the spirit” when he originally developed “Contrology” or the practice we now call Pilates. Please join us on March 12 at 12 pm to learn about the art and science of Pilates, from a 2nd Generation Pilates teacher, Robert Turner, owner of Breathe studio in Lexington. Robert was in the Marine Corps and worked for over a decade in the University of Kentucky Sports Medicine Rehabilitation Center before opening Breathe. Come learn how to make a New Year’s resolution that you will keep by learning how to set yourself up for success with healthful eating. Registered Dietitian, Emily McGlone, will cover the basic steps in setting goals for your health by looking at the various connections between diet and other factors.
